For Exterior and Interior use (In the case of inside application, a dew water calculation is recommendable). Continuously apply in one general direction.
If full width of wall cannot be covered at one time, terminate applications at corners.
Multi- layer application possible – up to 30 cm
Very good processing properties, machine and mechanical
High layer thicknesses in one go
Processing consistency dependents on the weather.
Use mixed ThermCon within 45 minutes.
Do not mix set material again.
Each cm thickness ThermCon 500 – approx. 4,4 kg/m2
Consider Additional consumption for rabbets, holes, wall bags, etc. – In particular for thinner layer thicknesses!
In the case of machine processing the productivity is possibly in a temporary way a little smaller through slight compression of the RECYCLED EPS beads.
CONDITIONS OF USE
ThermCon is sprayed and can be used manually as well (sprayed i.e. with TURBOSOL Talent/PUTZMEISTER SP11 or similar.
Smaller amounts can be mixed with a hand mixer
Mixing time: Do not exceed 4 – 5 minutes
Mix always the entire bag contents.
The least ThermCon thickness is 2 cm, max thickness up to 40 cm.
Recommended thickness for each layer (slightly wet) is max. 8 cm
It is recommended to establish the max. ThermCon thickness in shifts into slightly wet states.
Leveling ThermCon with the Feather edge.
Avoid intense processing of the fresh ThermCon surface.
After the ThermCon drying time, PF56 I/E exterior plaster can be applied.
STORAGE AND HANDLING
Protect from freezing 32o F (0o C) and temperatures in excess of 90o F (32o C). Store away from direct sunlight.
Protect Portland cement based materials (bag products) from moisture and humidity. Store under cover, off the ground in a dry location.
6 to 9 months, if properly stored and sealed.
Inspect Concrete and masonry surfaces for:
Surfaces must be free of all bond-inhibiting materials, including dirt, efflorescence, form oil and other foreign matter. Loose or damaged material must be removed and repaired.
Report deviations from the requirements of project specifications or other conditions that might adversely affect the ThermCon application, to the General Contractor.
Hot or very dry conditions accelerate drying and moisture loss from ThermCon which can affect resistance to cracking.
Adjustments in the application, scheduling and curing of ThermCon to prevent rapid loss of moisture are necessary to achieve a satisfactory ThermCon application result.
Cold temperatures retard drying and adjustments may have to be made in the application, scheduling to prevent application damage from frost and other trades.
Do not install or protect ThermCon during extremely hot, dust, dirt, rain, freezing, dry and/or continuous windy conditions.
Do not install ThermCon during freezing conditions or on frozen substrates. Allow final ThermCon application to completely dry before applying finish.
Moisture from concrete may delay the application until 28 days after the concrete is placed.)
After satisfactory inspection of surfaces and correction of any deviations from specification requirements commence the ThermCon application.
Transport – No special protective measures or hazardous goods markings are necessary.
Disposal – Dispose of in accordance with local, state or federal regulations.
Clean Up – Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use. Dried material can only be removed mechanically.
